I studied in the sociology department of UKZN PMB in the early '90's under brilliant lecturers. I earned my Honours in Sociology, cum laude, with Dean's commendation. I did research in various topics such as land reform, development, working the land and rural livelihoods. Sociology is dynamic!

I obtained a Social Science degree at the University of Teesside. I am interested in the issue of Power in society and how it impacts culture and relationships. When tutoring I like to enable the student to become more confident and better able to think for themselves about issues that impact them.

I worked as a tutor in Sociology at the University of Cape Town for 10 years, teaching a wide variety of undergraduate courses, from introductions in first year to 3rd year level courses in research methods. I have a Masters in Sociology and also received a First Class Honours.

I achieved 84% in SOCI1514 and 80% in SOCI1624. I help students simplify complex sociological theories, improve essay structure, strengthen critical thinking, and prepare effectively for exams. My goal is to build understanding, confidence, and higher academic performance.
